I was unsure whether or not to buy this book because 99% of the reviews were from the Amazon "Vine" program and they are all basically fake five star reviews where you can tell the person hasn't ever looked at the book before reviewing it. However, I'm really glad I bought it and think those reviews do a huge disservice to the book because it has actually been really helpful. So here is an actual verified purchase review. One note: you should already be at 45+ in quant before you use this book or it won't be helpful.The content itself is good at pushing you to the next level of "thinking" and make you better on your feet in completing tough problems in under 2 minutes. They do cover some new ground which I was really surprised wasn't covered in the main 5 Manhattan Prep guides or even in the in-classroom course I took. For example, my weakest area was inequalities and absolute values in data sufficiency and the strategies in Chapter 4 on approaching those (e.g. creating multiple threads of "If |a|<0, then...." or "If |a|>0, then...") changed it so I actually look forward to these problems now. There aren't necessarily many new areas that are covered but the book helps you rethink what problems are really asking. For example, it shifts your understanding of remainder problems as pattern recognition problems or various inequalities as positives/negatives. I also feel a lot more comfortable using Smart Numbers, Testing Cases, and Working Backwards strategies. These are taught in the other guides but I always felt like they weren't really necessary because you're never forced to use them on really tough problems where other methods are impractical. However, I do feel like the guessing strategies aren't really that helpful and can be skimmed.The best part of the book is the 700-800 range only practice problems at the end of each chapter and 150 more in the back across all topics. They're all as tough as the 700-800 level problems that show up on the Manhattan CATs and great at preparing you. I recommend running a 20 minute timer on each of the 10 problem sets in the back of the book to do the problems under real time constraints and spending more time on reviewing the problems afterwards.Overall, I would say I'm very happy with my progress thanks to this book. I'm still preparing for the GMAT but this book has definitely lifted me beyond my score plateau and I feel a lot more comfortable when taking a practice CAT now and to eventually getting to my target score.

The GMAT is a huge pain, and for the most part there are limited resources for those test takers looking to elevate their scores when it seems like they've hit a wall. The Advanced Quant book was great for how to think about complex math problems, especially given the time constraints of the test. I recently took the test and got a 50 on Quantitative, which wouldn't have been possible without preparing for all sorts of different hybrid problems.

First heard about this book because of the Magoosh GMAT Study plan. Finally gave in and bought this book and it has increased my performance on Quant section. Highly recommend.

Questions are tough (which is what I wanted). Explanations are good and the chapters offer unique (well, too me) ways to solve complex problems. Only issue, for me, was remembering to solve easier problems as quickly as possible and not using these harder question tricks on them (to save time). would highly recommend this for anyone trying to improve their Quant.

Great book with strategy insights for the exam. However there are some mistakes in the problems text, for example the problem indicates that the equation includes 2x but in the result it is indicated that the equation refered to 2^x.

This book is amazing. It really knocked me off my horse to begin with and shook my confidence. After carefully reviewing this book and doing some workout sets, I finally "got it". I scored a 780 (Q50 V48) and this book probably added 50 points to my score.

The quality of the book is good and the problems are challenging. However, like all the MGMAT quant in general, the questions are overkill and not like the ones you will encounter on the real GMAT. I did all the problems in this book and I don't think they are relevant to GMAT. If you want to get actual GMAT like questions, go to gmatclub and look up gmatprep and OG questions.

Wow!! Love this book!!! It opened my eyes to a lot of things I already knew was there but this really broke some things down to me. That I could just no longer ignore! This is a must have book! No joke! I ended a relationship of back and forth of 10 years that was going NO WHERE!! If I could give this book 1000 rating I would. Also I would recommend the book "Man leads, woman follows" This book and that one go hand in hand! all the information you need!

Amari seems to have the ability to read a woman's spirit, essence and, if it's not too ironic, soul. It is a lovely read and gives you the ability to interact while going through the chapters. I found myself nodding my head in agreement and amazement that this man, whom I've never even met, knows what I feel inside so well.This book is a process. One of which I am not going through so the title is a bit misleading. It takes one through the outlining who you are and what you want, then through the difficult stages of deciding whether to stay or go, how to move past an unhealthy relationship and the aftermath of being single. It is moving and inspiring and if you are in these parts of a relationship, a welcoming friend to help you through such events.There is a section that men should read also. It gives helpful in site into a woman's thoughts and what women want and need from a relationship. This part of the book is directed to men.What I liked about this book is Amari's wonderful sense of insite into how a woman feels and the help and inspiration to go on to be who you are and have what you want in a relationship. I could have saved myself a lot of heartache if this book were available when I was making the decision to stay or go in a relationship I was not meant to be in. There is incredible strength in this man's words.This is the first book I have looked into and read by Amari Soul. I do hope he either has or will have a book for those of us who are in a healthy relationship and addresses making a happy marriage even more enriching.

I actually stumbled across this book the other day when I was searching for ideas on how to improve myself to be a better and healthier women and what better way to get pointers is to read a book through a positive man's eyes and mind. I recommend this to be read and shared amongst couples or yourselves. I know everyone has an opinion about life, but I truly can say I was enlightened from the male and female spectrum, so somethings you can use from this read or pass it along. Thank you Mr. Amari for a wonderful read. I couldn't out this book down.

I have read countless books on relationships and most only give a laundry list of a 1000 and one things the woman needs to do to build her relationship. I have grown very weary of those books and all but refused to read them. This book is different. It articulates the needs of a woman which is very refreshing and comforting. Finally a book that speaks to the hearts of women rather than providing a laundry list of items for us to change. The poetry was a very nice bonus in this book. I absolutely loved it. Kudos to Mr. Amari Soul if I could only shake his hand...For the men, if you want to improve your current relationship, prepare for future long-term relationship, or simple better understand women, this is a must-read. This book does not bash men. It provides insight to the mind, needs, and desires of the woman.

For any woman who tries to find answers as to why her relationship has/have caused so much pain- this is a frank and to the point depiction of what we really need to sustain/obtain happiness in relationships. I have found that I have always blamed myself when it comes to relationships have failed/ended. We honestly need to value our true worth and remember that we are not always to blame. There are circumstances outlined in this book that we can all benefit from. I love it and do not feel it is a "male bashing" book by any means. Love it!

I read this to find perspective and help grieve a broken heart and it really helped me to move forward and look at what I value in a relationship and need from someone to be truly happy. Definitely worh a read!

This book inspired me to keep the high standards that I already have and encouraged me to be better than the great woman I already am. I’m not an avid reader but when I do and I can’t put it down then it’s a great book for me. I have ADHD if I’m not intrigued I move on. I totally relate to some of the quotes.
