We borrowed the 5 min Marvel stories from the library and my 3 year old son LOVED it, so I got on Amazon and ordered ALL of the 5 min stories with super heros in them (they're priced so well, so why not?!) this is the only one I've gifted him so far though. He's super into superheroes right now and these stories don't disappoint. Each page is illustrated and the print is decently sized. 1-2 stories are the perfect pre-bedtime read.
My son loves these 5-minute super hero stories, and I must say I'm quite fond of them as well. You can't go wrong with a 5 minute story about superheroes. A lot of children's stories are either very weird, poorly drawn, or just ridiculous, at least these have some decent decent writing and illustrations that my son and I can relate to. It's pretty awesome as a Dad to watch your son discover his favorite super hero. I'd recommend them for any parent who is tired or reading the same old children's books I highly recommend giving these a shot...at least it's something different.
My girls are not quite 3 and they love this book. Some of the stories are definitely better than the others but kids pick their favorites and repeat those anyway so that's no big deal (pretty sure I can recite the Ant Man story by heart at this point). I find I can get my kids to behave by using lines like "Captain America always eats his carrots" or "when Hulk wants something he says please." When they're on the swings they shout "I'm Iron Man!" which is pretty awesome.
These stories make reading fun for the kids and they enjoy looking at the artwork. Good mix of hero stories and no duplicates from the 5 minute Marvel book we already own.
My son loves this book. We read it every night. He looks forward to reading it. The pages are more construction paper type look if that makes sense-it's not the glossy finish/slick feel. The pages are more like an adult's chapter book type feel with pictures. It doesn't bother us at all, but might be worth mentioning. Our other marvel book was different. Overall, great!
We own four or five volumes of this 5-minute story book series. My little boys (kindergarten age) enjoy them for bedtime stories.
These books are always a winner in our house. They are a great size with many stories to keep our son interested and wanting to read them again. I buy these often for birthday gifts. Well worth the great price!
Great stories for my 10 and under boys. Fun to read to them and short enough for them to read-aloud. This book is excellent quality with a thick, beautiful cover and vivid pages - much better than I expected for the price.
Great book! My three year old is obsessed with the Avengers and Spiderman and this book makes the perfect bedtime companion. The stories are good and long enough to be interesting for him but not so long that I struggle to finish them before we all go to sleep...Lots of colorful pictures, too! Highly recommend, especially for the price!
