This is my second time picturing the book of jasher. Purchase once for my husband, and the second time for my mother. I intend to purchase the third for myself soon. Both my husband and my mother absolutely love everything that they're reading and learning in these books. I love the availability of knowledge to further what we already have learned in the Holy Bible. If you're thinking about furthering your biblical knowledge, purchase these books. I promise they contain sound Doctrine. When purchasing biblical or non canonical biblical works, I know sometimes you wonder if any of the doctrine may be a little off or a little sketchy. But from what I'm hearing from my husband and my mother these works like the book of jasher only expand what you already know. There is nothing that leads astray from what we hear in the Bible already.

If you love reading the Bible and the stories from the old testement, then please do yourself a favor and read more of the finer details. One thing I love about the dead sea scrolls is how they (Jasher is only 1 of 5 or 7 books in all) take a deeper look at the love and committment of all the historical characters in each one of our favorite Bible school stories. Abraham's wife Sarah was only very briefly mentioned in the Holy Bible in KJV as well as all the other versions, but in Jasher you sink into the emotions she must have endured while she embarks on her years of seeking and searching for Abraham and Isac in the rest of her story. The dead sea scrolls takes us deeper into the soul wrenching struggles of all the historical figures of God's Holy Word. My appreciation for God's Word has only been fueled by reading this book. Take a leap of faith and read them all.

The Book of Jasher is 99 cents (this particular copy, anyway), so I highly recommend that serious students of Scripture read it. I gave the book 4 stars not because it was factually inaccurate (on the contrary, the names, places, etc., are rather in step with the Bible), but because there are some accounts that are inconsistent with Scripture and can't be reconciled with it. One event that stands out to me in Jasher is when Joseph reveals himself to his brothers. Genesis says that his brothers didn't recognize him, which makes the reveal a major surprise, but Jasher says that Benjamin knew who he was in advance of Joseph's other brothers. How would Benjamin have known Joseph when he was just a baby when Joseph was sold into slavery? To think that Benjamin knew Joseph is to think that he knew some things about his deceased mother, Rachel, when he was too young to know her.The second major mention that stands out in my mind from the Book of Jasher concerns Moses and his flight from Egypt. Jasher says that Moses went and reigned over the Cushites (Ethiopians) 40 years after fleeing Egypt, that he was about 27 years old when he left Egypt and was 66 when he went to Midian. And yet, this can't be right, if Acts 7:23 is correct. Acts 7:23 says that Moses was 40 years old when he slays the Egyptian and flees directly to Midian. There's no time to go reign over a pagan nation for 40 years in-between that. The other thing that makes me disagree with the Cushite rulership is that Jasher says that the entire 40 years Moses was ruling the Ethiopians, he did not serve their gods, nor did he marry their Queen. If he wouldn't do that against his God, why would he go serve a pagan nation against his God? It just doesn't make sense. What also doesn't line up is why Moses would gladly lead the Cushites in Jasher when Scripture notes Moses' hesitancy against leading Israel out of Egypt in Exodus. If Moses hesitated to lead Israel, his own people, why would he so boldly lead another people, the Cushites, who weren't even his direct kinsmen?For a third example (for the curious, anyway), Moses gets to Midian and when he tells Reuel (Jethro) of his reign with the Cushites, is thrown in prison without bread and water by the priest (Reuel) for 10 years. Reuel has the so-called sapphire stick in his yard, the same stick that is claimed to have been used by Adam in the Garden of Eden (he took it when he left, Jasher says), that passed to The house of Joseph but was confiscated by Egyptian nobles. How does it end up in Reuel's yard? Why would he want to keep something that had been stolen from the house of Joseph? This stick that Moses uses as a staff is said to be special, according to Jasher. But why couldn't it just have been an ordinary staff that God used to make Moses do extraordinary wonders in Egypt? Methinks the Sapphire stick is "tabloidish." For Moses to keep a stolen stick instead of returning it to Manasseh and Ephraim (Joseph's offspring; Moses was a Levite, not of the house of Joseph) makes Moses a bit of a thief, too, as well as Reuel, the priest.So, with that said, I give Jashar at least a 75% reliability rating. There is a 25% unreliability rating with Jasher, not because I've done any scientific number-crunching but because the two events above and some others are questionable and seem highly incredulous. Most of what Jasher says will fit with what Bible students and scholars have read from the pages of Scripture. It's those incredulous details such as the ones above that will stand out. And yet, Joshua's writer notes the book of Jasher when referring to the sun standing still. If the Bible references Jasher, it's worth a read.I'm on a quest to read those other books the Bible references. The Book of Jasher has been a rewarding and exciting first step in my research journey.

If you search for Jasher in the bible, you will find 2 references to it: one in the book of Joshua and one in 2nd Samuel. In the book of Jasher it also refers to the book of the law. Jasher covers the time span also recorded in Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Joshua. It is well known that Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John cover the same time period. These gospels sometimes repeat each other, and sometimes a gospel has information not recorded in the other gospels. In the same way the book of the law contains information not found in Jasher, and Jasher contains information not found in the book of the law, though they often record the same events. Paul wrote: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16) In that same passage Paul speaks of 2 men: Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses... (2 Tim 3:8) Who are Jannes and Jambres? You will not find their names in the KJV, nor in the KJV 1611 Apocrypha, nor in Enoch, nor in Jubilees. But you will find them in the book of Jasher. It is the word of the LORD.

This book is a sweet metaphor for parenting that I like to read particularly when I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed. It's a short and sweet story with a nice rhythm that kid's appreciate, with beautiful illustrations, but ultimately it tells the story of the sacrifices that go into raising something and then letting it go off to live its own life. I tear up just about every time I read it as I think about the parallels in my little person's life and what it will be like to watch her grow and ultimately to let her go too. Buy it, you'll love it.

On a whim, I bought this book. A few days later it arrived, poignantly available to steer myself and my family into our new season of my return to career and the kids to school for the first time. Honestly, I’d buy this for grown-up friends who are having a child leave the nest, go to school for the first time, or other major transitions in parenting. The illustrations are adorable and delightful. The story is encouraging (even though a few tears might come to your eyes, it’s all goodness.) I love it. Do yourself a favor, and buy this book. My little four year old asked me to read it two times in a row.

Sweet book with an endearing message as other reviewers have already mentioned. Another thing to point out is that the book itself has a yellow cover. It comes with a dust jacket which is what you see in the advertised photo.

Don't let this book fool you - it masquerades as a sweet story to read to your first grade class, but when you do, you will realize it's actually talking about your senior in high school and you *just might* get teary-eyes in front of a room full of 7-year-olds. Fortunately we all recovered, but seriously. This book is a keeper for many reasons and I'm happy I stumbled across it this year.

Bought this book as a Valentine's present for my five month old's first Valentine's day.I cried my eyes out! Not only did I raise a pair of ducklings as a teenager and found this book bringing back a wave of memories, but the symbolism of raising and releasing your own children was beautiful, touching, and emotional.I love that is a hardback book with such a gorgeous cover and raised lettering for the title.

I bought this book as a gift for my daughter on Valentine’s Day. It is beautiful. I love the graphics. The story is of a little girl and her duck she raises and loves. It’s bound to tug on the heartstrings of any mom. I’m pretty sure the theme went over her head but she loved the pictures so we both win.

As a children’s book author, “the traveling dress”, I know how important reviews are. And simply the best way I can express my love of this book is, I wish I wrote it myself for my daughters. It puts into words exactly what I hope they understand about my love for them. Beautifully written and illustrated.

I absolutely adore Claire Keane's art. Everything she draws just comes across as beautiful and emotional. Pair her art with Diane Adams' beautiful story about a girl and her duck, and this becomes one of my (and my 4 year old's) favorite books. It also answers the question that a young child may ask "what does love mean" in a way that anyone can understand.

Packed with very practical tips and templates, KPI Checklists should be one of the first 3 additions to any KPI Analyst's book shelf!For example, Bernie's simple diagrams (e.g. the KPI shortlisting matrix that plots importance vs availability) helped me coach business leaders and made the process of prioritizing KPIs easy to visualize. And, classifying KPIs into the important but not available quadrant as "aspirational" led quite nicely to my work with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).For example, some of our aspirational metrics led us to create the key result: "obtain a baseline of the aspirational metric by the end of Q4" so we could agree to make progress with certain KPIs that could not easily be currently tracked.Bernie's approach can quickly be customized to meet your situation. For example, the KPI Definition checklist included 13 or so fields such as KPI Name, Frequency of update, Measurement intent, Person responsible for target setting, Units of measure, etc...I ended up using almost all these fields plus adding a few custom fields such as "Business Unit" that were required for my client. My clients have found the KPI definition worksheet particularly useful both (1) when defning the initial set of KPIs and (2) as a tool that they required managers populate when requesting a new KPI be included in the company's performance dashboard.The discipline that this KPI definition template brought going forward within the organization reduced the quantity of KPI requests while increasing the quality of these requests. The thoughtful templates and approaches outlined in the book can help create a metrics-drivein culture in an organization.Bernie includes short links that let the reader access electronic versions for most templates included in the book. Access to these templates make the book quite practical for anyone working with KPIs.

The author had some valid points throughout the book. However, as I begin reading further within the text, it appeared to be focused more on the Technology field. Additionally, there were some good suggestions made within the text that can be applied to various situations.

It's a very practical book about KPIs. I love it very much.But I think it's better if the author has not mentioned from page to page about another book that he had wrote.Thanks.

Passed my exam on the first try thanks in part to this book. I primarily used the online bank of questions for my studying. The online questions are nice because you get immediate feedback with a rationale as to why your answer is correct or why it is incorrect. There is a study mode and a test mode for the online questions. I wish there was a way to set how many questions you wanted to do for test mode because right now it just gives you a test of all 800+ questions in randomized order. The questions cover a wide range of topics with questions proportional to what you would see on the exam; i.e. high emphasize/ lots of questions on pulmonology, cardiology, and GI with a lower number of questions on topics like professional issues and legal issues. I'm not really sure why the reviews are so poor, but I would highly recommend this book in preparation for the exam!

This is a thin book with only practice questions and answers. BUT there are a lot of questions and if you are planning on taking your RNC, I highly recommend buying this book.The trick to passing the RNC test is knowing how to answer, read and analyze questions and this book is very helpful in helping you do so.Also know that on the back of the cover is a link where you can register and have access to the online test portion. Very helpful! Probably used this way more than the actual book. (Same questions as in the book, just in the “real test” format. Utilize this.Again Tiny Book!!! But it packs a punch.

I ordered the kindle version and am pleased with the content of the book, however there is no way to get the code to access the online content and exam practice sessions although the ad says the ability comes with the kindle version as well. The online content is one of the factors that make this book so worthwhile. The kindle version is only a fraction of the study material without access to the online content yet is the same price. Very disappointed that I will have to buy the print version now.

I just got this book to study for my certification exam. I am very pleased with the amount of questions and general information in this book. I think i will do good on my exam if i use this book.

This would be such a better book if the format had the answers right after the question. It takes so much effort to navigate through this book just to get the rationale. So frustrating that I really actually hate it. I would of given it a 2 if it wouldn't of been for the pertinent information I needed.
