About the Author

I had trouble following the directions. I would have liked a list of colors being used and substitutes since I could not find some of the colors. It would have been nice to also have an arrow pointing to the area of reference since the terms seemed vague to me. I didn't pay much for the book so didn't feel totally ripped off.
Its good, instruction wise to learn to paint a seashore picture, but some of the color choices in the book aren't readily available, so you are left to substitute and hope for the best.
This has some good illustrations and instructions about painting moving water, I just wish it was more! But it's enough to get a good start, and the rest is doing, anyway.
Just wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Good book maybe just not for beginners . Looking for a little more technical on mixing colors.
