Lots of pictures is awesome, it's helped me learn instruments I didn't know.I think it could be set up better, especially the sterilization notes since it's so repetitive it's hard to keep reading. It would be better to just write "disinfect" or "sterilize" or "place in sharps container" as opposed to a paragraph that says the same thing most pages. I don't want to read the same paragraph page after page but I also don't want to miss anything. Any major sterilization information should be placed in bold. See my attached pictures to get an idea of what I'm talking about.The only other thing that would make this better is to show more pictures of the instruments or materials in use, not just the instrument or material itself. This pocketbook does this for many instruments but more of these in-use pictures would really help see the functionality of the materials.Overall I would definitely recommend this because it has very good information and very good pictures.

This instrument handbook is just that tool!I purchased a number of them for incorporation into my small dental assisting school. My school offers basic hands-on training which moves very quickly. The course is intense and condensed. The students are hard-pressed to master infection control, impression, making bleaching trays etc. They NEED all the help they can get. Luckily, the giant is more than fond of a good story, and the prince has the good fortune to tell one that stars Sean himself. So, the stallions are freely given, the princes return home, and the repentant queen is released from her curse, too. Milligan has taken a traditional Irish tale and synthesized many versions into a cohesive and delightful whole. His poetic prose demands to be read aloud with a lilt and a brogue, and comely turns of phrase ("Then all was well and naught was ill-") beg readers to join in. McDaniels's evocative illustrations, created with Russian watercolor with graphite, add charm and dimension to the book. The mood is enhanced by foreboding skies in masterly paintings. It gives the reader an idea what the soldiers, first responders, officers, etc must endure and how they are capable of doing what many others could not handle. This book also provides some insight to simple but effective techniques for keeping calm and focused in any situation. I always enjoy reading things that promote learning to control and direct your mind instead of just succumbing to its terrifyingly sporadic nature. Great read and very enlightening.

In a world full of negativity I need a daily dose of coping skills. This book is about the coping skills of those in more stressful situations than any of us "normal" folk will ever find ourselves in. I got to this book via a Google search after reading an article about how well the Navy SEALS handle stress in combat. That article, sorry I can't remember where I read it, went into detail of how almost no Navy SEALS have problems with post traumatic stress disorder, that affects many other combat vets. While they admit the intense "weed out" training the SEALS go through during BUDS training, Hell week and beyond plays a big part by those not so hard wired to handle highly stressful situations, they also say some of these coping skills are not only taught to the SEALS, but can be learned by us mortals. I like the book. It isn't the typical self-help book that lines the shelves at any book store, and that kind of explains why I like it so much.

Not just for our law enforcement and soldiers, this book is written with anyone in mind that has taken the role of "defender" or "peacekeeper" seriously. Learn what it takes to face danger, peril, and life-threatening situations with the skills employed by our nations best everyday. Even if you don't face danger at all, there are great techniques taught in this book on how to relax, something I think a lot of people could use this day in age. If you want to understand what it takes mentally to be an officer or soldier on a day to day basis, then this book is for you.

I felt this was an excellent read. Imo, it should be on the readers list for USMC commadants reading list, police, fire and ems reading lists. The cons of this book imo were the authors often overlapped their own research into the book - Grossman, Asken, Christian. Though imo this book delves the deepest as far as one piece of work integrating the ability to keep mental toughness and clarity. A definite top read. My quick breakdown and take away from the book is breath control( to control the autonomic system), goal orientation, progressive steps to goal all provide a feedback loop for mental toughness. There are numerous references to experiences and studies backing up the information in this book, this is not an old soldier lamenting over how it was done in his day. I have no doubt the information in this book will make me a better officer, it has already made me a better employee at my current job. Buy this book!

I am not satisfied with the book. The link to download the code depot scripts doesnt work. The diagrams cannot be read, its blurry.I tried to follow up with Rampant publisher company about the link, the support team are not aware of it. The numbers published on their website is incorrect.I sent an email to the author of the book Martin Heinzl but did not receive any reply yet. I am considering to return.ThanksShadab

Fantastic book. The python may not work due to spacing issues as an immediate download but once you get past that you are done.Saved me a whole lot of time and energy. Martin needs to put one together for 12c.

Very good book to explore advanced features of wlst and python scripting.

This is a fantastic book if you are a WebLogic administrator or a developer on the Oracle FMW platform. Compared to the somewhat sparse Oracle documentation on WLST it's like being handed the manual for an Ikea flatpack; after having spend dozens of hours fiddling with screws and rebuilding.Little time is spend on generic Jython and WebLogic topics, true to the word "advaned" the author dives in after just a glance. The content of this book can then be split into three parts; WLST, JMX and a smaller chapter on other automation related topics. The real gold is in the examples - they are all working and written as standalone functions. it's obvious that the writer has run into many (if not all) of the obstacles WLS administrators run into sooner or later. Monitor a queue and start a shell script on rising numbers? There's an example on that. Developers screaming for automation of domain creation or scripted deployments, including data sources? It's there. You find that in a basic setup the standard out log is filling up the drive? It's hidden, but in the book. You need to import user accounts into WebLogic every night? Needs some hammering, but it's there. Although the author does not explicitly list all of the functions, no WLST (and partly JMX) command is left without a small example.A drawback: when setting up server automation you would probably choose WLST and only in some cases JMX. Either way, half of the book would be of little use to you. The topics in the book on both technologies are so similar that going from one to the other feels like rereading it with all of the examples written in another programming language. Also, maybe not a drawback, but that's a lot of examples. This is not light reading (unless you enjoy reading code).To summarize: it's a great book if you've got programming experience or are experienced with WLST or Java and need to script or automate aspects of WebLogic and a great reference to have around besides.

I now own many books on doing Needlepoint and this is now one of my favorites! Yes it would have been perfect if the stitch pictures were in color but other than that I recommend it. I bought s like new copy and it is in excellent condition.

A lot of information crowded into this book. It gives an example of each stitch but I feel it does not diagram how the stitch is done by showing what direction and the steps to do the stitch. I feel this is a book more for the experienced stitcher than a novice. t would take several months if not years to master even a large percentage of these stitches and all the uses for them. This is truly a large reference book.

There is no doubt - you can find a ton of stitches here. The written instructions are good, but I found two things that could use improvement.1. The stitches are listed alphabetically. This seems to make sense, but when you start a project and e.g. you're looking for an open stitch for a large area, you have to go through the book page by page to find a selection. I would have liked the stitches to be grouped by type or use. There is a chart in the front, but I am one of those impatient types who don't like flipping through books to find what I want.2. The black and white photos aren't always very clear. I know printing in color ups the price of books incredibly, I think having some color here - even duotones - would have helped. Some stitches looked completely different when I stitched them. I'm a relatively experienced needlepointer, so I know I wasn't misreading the instructions.So, better photos and better organization would make this book ideal (even better I think than the Ippolito book). Regardless of these flaws, this is still a good reference and one that I use regularly.

Brilliant collection of needlepoint stitches, well illustrated and clearly explained. A must for the beginner and advanced stitcher.

Informative, black and white photos, good instructions.

I have done crafts over the years and some embroidery, cross stitch, crochet, etc. But Ive always wanted to learn Needlepoint. For those of you who have never done it, I cannot recommend this book enough. It has so much information in it that is mind boggling. Big pictures, detailed instructions and how to use them and where. I am pleased with the book and the condition it is in (I ordered a used book). And it arrived in the mail promptly.

This was purchased for my son who is incarcerated and is in love with cross stitching. He is sharing this book with other inmates.

I listened to this book in it’s entirety recently. All I can say is: Life Changing!!!Now I DID read the “1 star” reviews. This is my take. Physicians that take the time to do bad reviews on Amazon? Ok. But really, there are studies to support about any angle. Truly. But what grasped me were the authors patients with life altering issues, having such incredible improvement or loss of symptoms... not to mention it is just good science. Sure there might be ways to question some of the studies. But the ones that mattered most were the ones not opposed by the nay-sayers 1 star reviewers. Like how they have long since admitted low fat high carb is not (heart) healthy (etc). Duh.If you truly believe that high carbs/sugar diets are not an issue in the American diet, then you aren’t looking around. None of the negative reviews that want to poo poo the idea we don’t need so many carbs (grains), fail to understand, it seems, that he has plenty of naturally occurring non-grain carbs in this diet. Enough to do what is needed in regards to carbs in our body!Society’s whose longevity is related to a plant based diet are typically those very active regardless of age and as was mentioned, a healthy community... that is great for them. Their diets, LIKE HIS, are NATURAL carbs and none processed. In the day of virtual community and low activity, a high carb/low fat diet, well, there is plenty of proof it is not working for us!!There is also plenty of proof of our deficiency of omega 3’s, Vitamin D, and so forth.Go ahead and defend your carbs. I think I will go with the basic statistic that diabetics are twice as likely to develope Alzheimer’s and dynentia and take a different path towards wellness... Cuz the road I was on with the SAD (standard American diet) gave me cancer, and put my overall health at huge risk. With low carb I lost a TON of weight, improved my cholesterol ratios and reversed my pre-diabetic state... aye I need grains. Or not!Again-I highly recommend this book! I am alwo seeing changes in my children as we switch our dietary priorities!

My son started having myoclonus, then he started with Absence seizures....I researched as much ass I could. Put him on a gluten free diet instead of giving the meds from our Neuro...all disappeared! Them one day we cheated and had a donut....BAM! He had his first grand mal within 3 minutes of eating the donut. Back on gluten free diet and has been seizure free for 4 months.I continue to read up on this info and came across this book. Its a good read.

I'm sold on the author's authority and argument. I'm all in--started following his advice and feel so much better. Down two pant sizes, brain fog is gone, and haven't gotten any of the colds/bugs that the rest of my family has picked up this season. I'm looking at my food choices in a different light, and best of all, my internal medicine physician is on board with the program.

These two books have changed our lives. We read Grain Brain first, then bought Wheat Belly. We are now eating a wheat free diet, and we bought the Wheat Belly cookbook. It's helping us adjust to our new way of eating. I've lost 14 pounds in 6 weeks, and my husband lost 8 #'s. At first we went slow, but we wish we jumped in "whole hog" because he is feeling 100% better. He is an Adult 2 diabetic, has high blood pressure, and had irregular heart beat for awhile, was on two heart pills. He also has RA. Now, he feels so good, he's drop one of the diabetic pills, and one of the heart pills, and is doing great. We don't miss wheat products at all. Now am eating all sorts of veggie casseroles , trying new vegetables, and eating low carb fruit like berries, apples, and melons. We love eating the good fats; butter, avocados, coconut oil in my tea, yes my tea! Olive oil and vinegar on green salads, lots of eggs, like every other day an omelet, or eggs and ham. Eggs in our salad, and boiled eggs for snacks, so satisfying. I can't tell you how happy we are to feel good and lose weight at ages 68 and 71. Amen, what more could I say. Two happy wheat free people in Anna, TX. Thankyou, Doctors Davis and Perlmutter!!!
